Branding For Private Equity Growth

In the halls of many Private Equity firms, brand is now being seen as a lever for value creation. In broadening their ‘why’, companies can widen their realm of operations, building a broader platform from which to expand capabilities and build new connections with customers. Brand can also play a critical role in creating focus or a feeling of unity following a heavy period of M&A activity.

Unifying a portfolio for growth

"Our new brand doesn’t just write a new chapter, but a whole new playbook."

Christa Quarles
‍CMO, Alludo

In 2022, digital software company Corel engaged DesignStudio to create a new umbrella brand and new shared portfolio-level value proposition to appeal to SMBs. After a series of acquisitions there was a need to create a robust story and system based around the future of work.

Along with creating an identity and brand strategy for Alludo, we developed a new brand architecture model based around working styles. The new new model made sense of the existing offering and could also function as a robust mechanism for nesting newly acquired products over time.
