Marketing Assistant


The Role

DesignStudio is looking for a Marketing Assistant to help with the day-to-day execution of marketing and social media activities. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager the role will form part of the marketing and social media team globally.

The right person will be:

  • Flexibility in approach to work and working hours given global nature of the role

Day to day tasks

  • Providing general administrative support, collating timelines, putting key meetings in the diary, helping to compile reports e.g. changes in social media and website visitors
  • Identifying possible awards entry per client, handling awards entries in terms of collating assets, filling out forms, handling deadlines and payments
  • Looking for events for us to attend/speak at, helping to plan and execute events when we are able to do things in person
  • Helping to keep a social and content calendar up to date
  • Looking for press coverage gained, keeping a log
  • Ensuring all social assets, press assets, copy and case study assets are saved systematically and filed clearly in marketing folder
  • Maintaining website content / changing and updating as instructed
  • Helping to create social content inc images and copy
  • Compiling competitor reports and sharing industry trends
  • Collecting social and website analytics

  • Excellent GCSEs, A-levels or equivalent, particularly in English, media or comms degree in a relevant topic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills,
  • If no experience - an interest in marketing, communications, social media or design and branding
  • Confident using key social media tools (e.g. Instagram, Linkedin Twitter and Facebook) and with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Comfortable using Google Analytics and other social media analytics tools
  • Ideally experience using adobe suite (INDD, Photoshop etc)
