A Senior Client Manager is a pivotal role at DesignStudio, bridging the work of our dynamic teams to the objectives of our world-class clients, ensuring that our projects are well cared for and that communication is anticipatory and transparent.

As a Senior Client Manager, you'll bring a blend of strategic thinking, commercial acumen, smart problem solving and positive optimism to all of your project teams and client relationships.

You'll lead smaller project teams with a Design Director, making confident account decisions and balancing the needs of the client and DesignStudio. Additionally, you'll support the Client Service Director and/or Project Sponsor in leading larger teams, becoming the backbone of the client relationship and main point of contact for all aspects of the client relationship and work.

Your responsibilities

Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues of all levels, instilling trust and confidence.

Identify opportunities for growing client accounts while demonstrating value for the client, writing proposals and seeking ways to convert them into additional workstreams/projects.

Be an active and enthusiastic member of the Client Services team, seeking new and better ways to improve the DesignStudio offer for our clients and ways of working internally.

Work with the Finance Director to manage the commercial health of your accounts, including proactively forecasting revenue, managing project budgets, resourcing your projects, negotiating contract terms, and logging client approvals/sign-offs.

Have a confident view on the content and direction of the work your team is producing, knowing when to seek the support of more senior members of the business to ensure DesignStudio levels of quality.

Key skills and qualifications

Experience You will have a minimum of 3 years of account management and project management/producer experience working on several different types of client accounts in an agency (creative, marketing, advertising, digital) or client environment.

Problem Solver You're a great critical thinker with exceptional EQ and the ability to read a room. You independently problem-solve across a variety of situations, and know when to ask for support in tricky situations.

Facilitator Confident in leading discussions, presenting work and facilitating smaller workshops.

Team & Client Management You will have experience running small teams independently or workstreams in large agency teams for a range of client sizes, with a desire to make connections and build relationships internally and externally.

Budget & Time Management You will have successfully and profitably managed project budgets with demonstrable proficiency in budgeting, revenue forecasting, scheduling and delivery.

Communicator Excellent written and oral communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
