Brand and AI workshop with Digital Disruptors
On 20th August we welcomed 40 students from Digital Disruptors to a Brand and AI workshop hosted by Further.
Digital Disruptors is an organisation that encourages young people to invest in digital to elevate their skills, and explore the options it provides as a career choice. The brief was to propose a creative solution – with the inclusion of AI and Web 3.0 technologies - to address the problem of unsustainable fast fashion to promote sustainable practices in the online fashion community.
DesignStudio kicked things off with a session on branding where the group was tasked with conceptualising their own brand. This included coming up with the brand idea, target audience and key messaging. Using visual prompts they crafted mood boards to encapsulate their ideas.
This was followed by an AI workshop hosted by Pixel Artworks where fabric patterns were created using Midjourney, and then applied to a 3D mannequin using Photoshop. Here there was the option to add brand logos, and the designs were then applied to their digital mannequins that had been created beforehand by the team in Unreal Engine.
Once the conception and application stages were complete, the digital models walked along the catwalk in Pixel Artwork's Originals Theatre, where the groups presented their brand, designs and the sustainable practices behind their operations.
It was a pleasure welcoming Digital Disruptors to our studio and giving them an insight into what we do here at Further.
