DSNY Summer Retreat ‘24

Even at the peak of summer with briefs in full swing and deliverables on the way, DesignStudio knows the importance of taking time to rejuvenate, rest, and reconnect with each other outside of the office. For the second year in a row, DSNY embarked on an overnight retreat that aims to remind the team that there is beauty in slowing down and there is never a bad time for a bonfire and some s’mores.

For two days, we left all electronics and work talk at the door and found ourselves at an upstate oasis, including family-style meals, olive oil tastings, and spontaneous front-row seats to the Perseid meteor shower.

Since the new year, DSNY has welcomed five new permanent team members and the overnight retreat was the perfect opportunity to show them what the New York studio is about at its core, aided by a rousing game of DesignStudio Jeopardy.

The annual retreat is quickly becoming a fan-favorite tradition that the team looks forward to each year, and we cannot wait to see what the next summers hold!
